One summer season it was my job to scout out new locations for VHF radio repeaters to provide communications for science teams working in the Dry Valley's. The helicopter had dropped us off on the top of Mt. Coates where I took this photo. The Taylor Valley and Glacier can be seen on the bottom right, while the Antarctic Plateau appears on the horizon.
