This image was also taken while installing VHF radio repeaters above Lake Hoare in the Taylor Valley. These tents are located between the main science camp buildings at Lake Hoare and the valley wall. Grantees live here rather than in the more permanent wooden shelters the primary researchers get to call home. (It's good to be the King!) The camp is occupied during the Antarctic summer season.
