| McMurdo Station, December 1997. The blue buildings are dormitories,
purple are fuel storage tanks, magenta are the Crary Science Laboratories and
National Science Foundation headquarters, and the yellow buildings are work centers
and offices. During the Antarctic summer (October-February) there are nearly
